Miserable condition
The food in the restaurant was as a buffet comparable to food in a canteen, the menu food was good. Breakfast was okay, nothing special. A staff member at breakfast did not even return the morning greeting, seemed annoyed. The hot tub was broken and locked, the water in the indoor pool was completely green. A holder for the water hose had broken off in the steam bath. In the wellness area it always smelled strongly of sewerage, presumably the smell came from the defective hot tub. The hotel had a strong green covering on the facade and looks run-down, the decor overall (carpets etc) looks worn and outdated. In the elevator (built in 1973), a panel had been fixed with adhesive tape. I have never seen a 4 star hotel in worse condition in Germany. My review on Google has been deleted, there are amazingly no 1 or 2 star reviews despite the miserable state of the hotel.

Never again
A broken toilet seat could not be repaired in 4 days!
The cleanliness is very poor. All the floor coverings were very worn and torn. The wellness area with its makeshift sauna facility, due to water damage, is worth mentioning. The staff there were also friendly. The Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival was a really good event and the star chef Marcus Blonkowski from Dresden really showed what can be done in the kitchen! A really great evening!
But that is also the positive experience that you can take away.
There will be no repeat visit to this house.

Better not do it
1. the hotel is classic 80s standard, worn out and certainly no longer up to date
2. the mattresses are a complete disaster. There is no minibar or coffee machine
3. the food was OK in places, but sometimes inedible. We were served a pasta salad that was obviously no longer edible.
4. the staff were extremely stressed - one of them was so annoyed that we hardly dared to speak to him. Others were visibly overworked (I just felt sorry for them)
5. parking spaces are so rare, the parking bays so narrow that most of the colleagues had to walk at least 10 minutes to the hotel
6. the price is an absolute disgrace for this situation.
In summary: absolutely not a 4-star hotel - NOT recommended
