Friendly family run hotel

Super family run hotel with helpful friendly waitstaff in the restaurant. The menu is "meat heavy" but it's Germany! I did find meat free dishes but the selection was small. The food is honest German food so don't expect fancy! The garden is a lovely place to eat dinner too. Our room was a decent size, comfortable & quiet, with a balcony to sit on, which was lovely. The breakfast was continental, was tasty but lacked imagination I would definitely stay here again.

Typical German country hotel with bar, restaurant and outdoor beer garden

The hotel is off the main road, which means it is quiet. Appears to be run mainly by small, elderly and cheerful German women who don't take things terribly seriously. When I stayed there, a group of "Wild Hog" motorcycle club members (you';ll know what I mean if you've seen the film) checked in. They behaved impeccably.

excellent hotel

Very friendly hotel. I arrived at 2 pm and was let in by an elderly lady relative of the owners with no English. I have limited German and we helped each other and she was great..Very young owners ,not sure how long they have been there but they were excellent. Nothing too much trouble. Excellent varied menu for dinner and great buffet breakfast. Great bathroom and shower. Easy check out. Off road parking. what more could you want. Would definitely stay again and recommend.

Traveller Friendly Hotel

I recently spent a night here after being introduced to the hotel by a colleague from work. The rooms are clean and comfortable and if you get a room with a balcony this provides additional seating area and refreshing breeze in the room during a hot summer's night. You feel like you are stay in a very large town house, with free parking, a quaint beer garden and super family-style service. The breakfast was fresh, varied and overall very good. I'd recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a short business stay or one to explore the area or on a stop-over tour.

They seem to try... but lousy restaurant for veggies

I spend 2 nights there, the room was pretty old school, refurbished bathroom though, friendly staff. I had a look at the restaurant's menu and immediately ran away as it was limited to German Schnitzel+Fries style food (check my rating on the Italien place called Gargano - secret spot)
Breakfast was bad until I discovered the other cheese plate in the middle of the room ;) they try to fulfill special requests if possible.
I won't come back.
