Disappointing Experience at Hotel Gasthof Zum Kirchenwirt

I had an incredibly frustrating and disappointing experience at Hotel Gasthof Zum Kirchenwirt during my attempted stay on September 8, 2024. Upon arriving at 7:23 PM, I found the lobby completely unattended, and despite waiting until 8:16 PM, there was no staff available to assist me. Although some keys were left on the desk, none were assigned to me, and multiple attempts to reach the hotel via phone were completely ignored. When an older staff member finally showed up, his dismissive and unwelcoming attitude was incredibly off-putting. After leaving, I was falsely accused of dishonesty by my booking agent, based on misleading claims made by the hotel. Thankfully, I have Google location history proof confirming my presence at the hotel, which refutes these baseless accusations. This entire ordeal has left me feeling frustrated, disappointed, and undervalued as a customer. I understand the terms of my non-refundable booking, but given the hotel's complete failure to provide even basic service, I strongly believe a refund should have been issued. I've since contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges. I urge fellow travelers to think twice before booking here—poor service and baseless accusations are not worth the hassle.

Absolute joke from a hotel

We were previously at a wedding and needed accommodation for the night - we just wanted to go to bed in peace at half past one in the morning. Instead of being able to sleep, however, a party was celebrated downstairs so loud that there was no sleep in it...instead of the hotel bringing guests a pleasant place of rest and tranquility and letting their guests sleep, this hotel still shoots loud music on the deepest night, which you can hear until the 2nd floor. Stock has heard (in the 3rd wsl too!). Absolute cheekiness, not recommended, never come back.

Rooms ok, but super restaurant

If I had to evaluate only the room I would have given "very good", because for the price I would have expected a room (for four people) a little more comfortable. However very clean and nice bathroom. The excellent is given because not only the breakfast is great, plentiful and in a very nice environment, but especially for the restaurant, where we had dinner every three nights and we really enjoyed and at a more than affordable price. For Italian tourists a detail not to be underestimated: the owner speaks very good Italian. And in 10 minutes you are in the center of Salzburg. We will certainly return

We loved the area, Really great staff, food was really good. We would have loved some sort of cooling option for warm nights, maybe a fan in the room. Other than, the location was beautiful!
