Exceptional Experience…what a gem!

My husband and I arrived at Horse Lake Inn after an extremely long travel day from Ucluelet on Vancouver Island. We chose the scenic route through the Rocky Mountains driving the incredible Sea to Sky highway to Whistler, on to Pemberton, and eventually we made our way east and north to 100 Mile House. We were two very weary travelers by the time we arrived at Marett and Michael’s beautiful home with the stunning view of the lake surrounded by nature. Marett and Michael greeted us with a warm, heartfelt welcome and made our stay absolutely perfect. The two suites in their home: The Bear Cave and The Fox Den, as well as the hosts’ genuine hospitality is indeed a labour of love. We settled into the Bear Cave, a spotlessly clean, spacious, beautifully furnished, well-appointed suite. Marett has thought of every conceivable amenity from the well-equipped kitchen, modern appliances, to that chilled bottle of wine in the fridge. My husband and I sat outside on the deck, enjoying a glass of wine, relaxed, and immersed in the quiet stillness that descends over the lake on a summer evening - the perfect respite at the end of our travel day. The morning of our departure, Marett arrived with the most delectable charcuterie plate with yogurt, fresh berries, cheese and cold cuts, nuts, and mini muffins and croissants. Outstanding! All I can say is that we should have stayed longer. Thank you, Marett and Michael for your kindness, gracious hospitality, attention to detail, and exceptional service. The Horse Lake Inn is a gem!

Our stay at the horse lake inn

Beautifully located near a lake with ample views of it from the room that was huge and fitted with a huge array of implements of luxury only seen in 5-6 star hotels. Every detail was done in an amazing way and to the highest standards of comfort. The hosts where very kind and helpfull as well. Can not be faulted, only regret we have is that we did not stay longer.

A hidden gem

We stayed here for two nights on the spur of the moment and are so pleased we did. Location was wonderful. We stayed in the bear cave which was the better of the two rooms because it has a side window. The highlight are Michael and Myett - you could not wish for more welcoming hosts.

Amazing place and super sweet owners!

Very nice place, newly built. Very nice location and its right by a very nice Lake, where it’s fantastic to take a swim. The place is okly about 20 min away from a Small town where there is a Subway, clothing shop, supermarked and other shops. 10/10 recommend and also a very Big bonus with The super sweet and very polite owners.
