2nd Time As Good As The First.

We had stayed at this resort in March of 2019 and enjoyed our stay so much that we returned to this resort for our vacation in November 2024. The resort had even more to offer this time around. it was still as comfortable and cozy as the last time.
The location of Silver Lake Resort is very good with a lot of shopping and dining close by. It is very close to Disney's Animal Kingdom and the other Disney Parks. The unit we were in was a 2 bedroom with the 2nd room being a lock-off. My son had the lock-off unit which included a kitchenette, private bathroom, and porch. Both units were well appointed and comfortable. It felt like a home away from home but with the added perk of the lock-off unit.

We had an amazing stay. The staff at check in was very polite and quick. The room was very clean and big! The pool area/hot tub was very nice. We would definitely stay again! We did get suckered into the timeshare presentation and got lied to about that but that is on that representative and company.

It was a barely acceptable stay - we won't be staying there again. It is a time share property and they do try to entice you to sit in on their 90 minute presentation. No thank you. The room was satisfactory and relatively clean accept for the upholstered furniture (yuk). The store/grill-cafe was a bit underwhelming - it felt very cluttered, old, and not very clean, but the sandwiches we braved the 1st night were good. The furniture in the room and lobby have seen much better days, for sure. The chairs in the lobby are peeling/flaking and the pull out couch & upholstered chair in the room was stained and dirty. The staff was not rude, but not overly welcoming. The room's balcony would have been a nice place to sit and have coffee in the morning, but smokers must have been on a balcony near us and the cigarette smoke was overwhelming. At night, two adults were sitting in the pool area (which was well kept and pretty) having a discussion and smoking pot. Not a very family friendly place to stay. The rate was reasonable - I guess you get what you pay for applies here.

Stayed there while joining our adult son and wife who were looking nearby for relocation. Very close to Disney, but other neighborhoods too. Very large 2 bedroom unit gave us lots of space. We stayed in an older building (no elevator or hallway). Buildings seem to be of mixed age based on development style.
