The perfect, charming hotel choice on the Left Bank!!

From my very first contact with the Hotel Saint-Paul, I knew I had chosen well! I wanted a small but updated, charming French hotel located on the Rive Gauche near the Latin Quarter. Since I would be staying for two weeks, I needed a decent sized space with plenty of light and maybe a few amenities like WIFI, fridge, hair dryer and water pressure! I booked my room in August after the Paris Olympics and at the time didn't realize that I would be there for the re-opening of Notre Dame! The first two weeks of December was a great time to be in Paris... no big crowds, beautiful holiday decor and plenty of Christmas markets if you venture out of the city. Ana, Stephanie and Valerie, the front desk staff, were sooo helpful in my planning, all of my questions whether in French or English, and especially gracious during my actual stay. They are well informed about everything from French history to where to buy the best baguette! I cannot recommend the Hotel Saint-Paul Rive Gauche enough! It is in close proximity to the Metro, the Sorbonne, plenty of wonderful cafes and shops, a GREAT pharmacy and I walked ALL over Paris from its central location. I used a driver service recommended by the hotel, Welcome Pickups, who met me at CDG airport and dropped me off on the day I left. No hiccups. The weather averaged in the high 30's F, but I would not have changed a thing. As a wedding planner, I will be informing all of my couples who plan to honeymoon in Paris to book here. You won't be sorry! Did I not mention the breakfast that is available if you so desire? I usually grabbed a coffee and pain au chocolat at a cafe in the morning, but I did enjoy breakfast downstairs twice. It was lovely!

Happy With Our Stay

We thought this quaint boutique hotel was ideally located since it was within walking distance to train stations, Luxembourg Garden, Notre Dame and plenty of shops and restaurants. There was scaffolding around the building (we missed the hotel entrance twice cause of it), but never noticed any construction activity or noise. The staff was warm, pleasant and helpful. The room itself was clean and comfortable. If I had to nitpick, it would be the height of the bathtub. Higher than what I’m accustomed to, I assume it’s a European thing, since our London hotel room also had a high tub. Regardless, we were very pleased with our stay.

A very good stay

A charming Hotel with everything near. All staff are very welcoming and the rooms are adorable and very cozy. Even doe thd hotel was in renovations the noise was minimal till our last day. We recomend.

Fantastic family-run hotel

This is a very special little find, which I discovered via Sawday's. A friendly, family run hotel with spacious rooms. Great location too - easy to walk to many different sights.

Perfect base for my daughter and I to explore Paris

Very quaint hotel full of character. Great location in the Latin Quarter which is bustling from morning through to late evening. We were upgraded to a superior two floor room as there are renovations to the roof going on, but in truth these didn't impact our trip at all. Staff friendly and accommodating. We would return to this hotel and area in a heartbeat. Next time I will try much more of the French I'm learning!

Work will be suspended daily from 16:00 until the following morning. No work on weekends. In order to thank our guests for their understanding, we will be pleased to offer some free benefits as compensation (upgrades, breakfast, discounts...).
