Very good restaurant....

for this establishment it is necessary to separate the restaurant and the room. First of all, the very good reception of the manager will put a smile on your face for the day. Then the restaurant is very good even if the prices are a bit high (45 euros a menu and it takes about 28 euros for a dish ) but I think very few restaurants of this quality in the area . Then the room .... and there is a bit the catch ... I certainly would not want to hurt the manager but the bathroom stayed in 1970 needs a good refreshment as well as the room. However, the bed is very comfortable and quiet. Breakfast is great with only fresh produce (a 5 star for quality pastries and chef's pastries).

Doesn't live up to its reputation!

Accustomed to this hotel in the evening, I saw the services deteriorate gradually. As much as the welcome is pleasant, the rooms leave something to be desired in terms of speaking, equipment and soundproofing. Then, the menu offered during the evening stopover varies very little, either pork (Lomo) or pasta.
In short, for my part it's over, I won't go to this overpriced hotel anymore and I won't go back there for lunch, much too expensive: €23.50 for the lunch menu...

Comfortable

Lots of positives about this hotel, however we probably won't return. The parking was not an enclosed car park, however plenty of space. I speak a little French which was fortunate, as although extremely pleasant the receptionist spoke no English. Lovely room, extremely comfortable bed, but a view onto bushes made it very dark. The bathroom was a bit dated but fully functional and clean. All areas of the hotel spotless.
All staff very friendly and helpful.
The evening meal choice was very restricted, and in our view rather expensive. However saying that the portions were huge, far too big for our appetites with us being older, when we were young we would have appreciated it, but not now, so a lot of waste from us.
Breakfast was a delight, so much choice and all lovely and fresh - we would have enjoyed having a choice of that for dinner the night before!
Overall the service in all areas was superb.

Welcoming hotel

Welcoming hotel but rather disappointing overall. The "grand confort" room was disappointing and adequate at best. Most other guests appeared to be travelling on business. The evening meal was mixed, very good in parts but inconsistent. The vegetables were overcooked and the creme brulee to finish was rather unpleasant. Didn't take breakfast.

GOOD VALUE FOR MONEY AND GOOD FOOD

I have been staying a couple of times a year at the Comodoliac for the best part of the last twenty five years. The rooms are good value for money, clean and charmless, and the food is excellent. Despite its being close to the main road, the rooms are quiet.
