A hidden gem
The hotel is about 30 minutes walk from the Colosseum so isn't central but I highly recommend it.
We got a warm and friendly welcome and all the staff were friendly and patient as we struggled with pigeon Italian. We booked 2 single rooms. The rooms were small but well appointed with high ceilings and period style furnishings. The ensuite was compact but had everything needed. There are no frills but we stayed for 3 nights and enjoyed every minute.

Anyway, it's a convenient inn.
The shower booth is also super small (laughs).
Also, the walls are probably thin, and soundproofing is bad.
But the staff were kind and extremely convenient, with a supermarket next door and a tram stop very close by.
There was a lot of graffiti in the area, which was a security concern, but at least there was no dangerous atmosphere until about 21:00 when the supermarket next door was open.
It was really convenient, as the main sightseeing spots can be reached by a single tram and the subway can be connected from the tram.
If you visit Rome next time, you will be the top choice for accommodation.
