Enjoyed a pleasant stay
After arriving I was pleasantly surprised to find the staff had kindly upgraded my room to a very nice semi-suite room! The room looked new and it was extremely clean and comfortable. The hotel lobby area was nice and relaxing as well.
I was also happy with the breakfast buffet which had a fair amount of western and Japanese dishes to choose from. In the evening before, guests were offered a complimentary snack of a small bowl of ramen noodles which was also
a nice gesture.
The hotel is tucked away in a quiet area of town away from the main road and trains, so it's a nice place if you want to wind down and relax after a busy day.
It's also located only 10-15min drive away from Hitachi Kaihin Koen (Hitachi Seaside Park) which I wanted to visit but sadly didn't have time to do so...

If you use the Ibaraki discount, the price will go up.
The Ibaraki Discount is only available for reservations over the phone, but when I called I was told that if you use the Ibaraki Discount, reservations made through the website are not applicable. The price was actually 20% higher than on the website. This 20% discount makes it the same price as a reservation made through the website. I used it because it came with a coupon, but it feels very unfair.
I hope they will crack down on this kind of thing.

Not much eating options so location isn't ideal unless you are driving. Restaurant was good both for dinner and breakfast.
