Whilst it is pretty basic, it os also very clean.
My only gripe is that the pillows weren't very comfortable.
Also, no shower gel provided - which wasn't an issue to me as I came prepared - but might catch others out.
Apart from that, this place represents very good value

Not for groups
- some had shared bathroom, some had private bathrooms.
- I slept in the lighthouse. This one was warm and small. The shared bathrooms of these reeked of wet towels and were left quite dirty by the other users.
-everything is accessible by stairs.
-it should be quiet around the Hostel between 22h and 7h. At 9pm they came to tell us to be quieter while we were talking at normal volume outside. This while there was a party going on in the bar behind the Hostel with loud music that you could perfectly hear in your bedroom. At night they also empty the glass containers with hellish noise.
- in one room was a folding bed where they forgot to put a mattress, mega hard!
- kitchen and dining area are really mini so we had to eat separately with our group in 3 times.
Hostel is located on restricted road.

Thanks for your feedback. Sorry to hear that you did not find our hostel suitable for your group of 30. We host many large groups a year of 30 - 60 guests with no issues so we would argue that the hostel is a suitable place for group bookings.
The lighthouse room is quite a spacious room with 2 large windows which open, it may have felt warm as you stayed in August, but hopefully the large fan in the room and windows helped! The room does appear smaller once you have used the pull out sofa bed which takes up space. We do have a spare mattress we can put on top for extra comfort and hopefully this was done for you as the sofa beds themselves are firm. We are happy to meet this request if asked at the reception. In regards to the bathrooms, these are cleaned at regular intervals throughout the day, as some are windowless they may become stuffy when used back to back, as your group occupied the floor you was on it may have been the group not leaving the bathrooms how you would like to find them but we are always happy to put things right it things are no satisfactory. Regarding noise levels, we cannot control the bar at the back but they do have a noise curfew so cannot make noise after 11pm outside. The staff member may have just been trying to control the noise level as the front of the hostel where there are rooms and was being conscious that it was a large group all moving about at once. Sorry if this seemed over the top. In our opinion our kitchen, dining area, lounge and garden are not mini, however we do encourage groups to use it in smaller groups than 30 to avoid over crowding an allow other guests to use the kitchen facilities too. It's not usually an issue for groups to do this!
