Great night sleep and stay

We had a lovely stay in this hotel and is in a perfect location aswell. We could see the Wallace monument from our window which was a nice surprise .The room was very clean and had everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable. In the morning we added a breakfast to our stay which had a good range of hot and cold food. I had a cooked breakfast and toast . The staff were all very helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again when down in the area. You can go for a lovely walk around the big pond which we really enjoyed. There is plenty parking on site.

Good location. Has the use of pool and gym although can be very crowded. The breakfast is good value. Dinner is a bit more pub food than a restaurant as they do not open the proper dining room

We had a pet friendly room. This is only the rooms and halls. There are no internal eating areas to sit with pets. This was very basic but clean. There was some areas that needed updating like woodwork and finishing of flooring in bathroom. Ok for a quick stop over. Breakfast was average and could have benefited from covers as the pastries began to spoil come last hour of service.

Overall amazing experience..nothing bad to say about this place..check in quick..room very comfortable with amazing bed...soo comfy..dinner was delicious and good value as was the breakfast...for the price I paid was overwhelmed in a good way.

Sold us a room type that doesn’t exist and still waiting for a refund 3 months later.

We booked this hotel online via a booking agency as my 16 year old son was playing in a tennis tournament at Stirling University and this hotel is on the campus. We booked a room with 2 double beds and paid in advance. When we arrived at the hotel after a 5 hour drive from Birmingham the room we were given contained one small double bed. We returned to reception to advise that we had been given the wrong room type only to be told that this hotel does not have any rooms with 2 double beds. When we showed them the confirmed reservation in a 2 double bedded room they said they would look into this. Because the hotel was fully booked we could not even book another room so that we could have a room each. Understandably my 16 year old son did not want to share a small double bed with his mother! The receptionist was helpful and called a nearby hotel for us but said that the hotel was unable to refund the cost of the room as we had booked through a 3 rd party. They said they would take this up with their agent. Suffice to say that over 3 months down the line, I have still not been refunded and the hotel is now ignoring my emails. They have clearly been paid by the agent ( for a room type that doesn’t exist ) and I am still out of pocket! Very disappointing customer service.
