Nice location

This small hotel is beautifully situated at Möckeln's edge. We did not manage to book double rooms facing the lake but still saw the lake both from side windows and bathrooms. The room was spacious and spacious. It smelled like mold in the hallway outside but as others have written, nothing inside the room. Breakfast was ok. High Rating for large lovely room (it was two rooms even) and the fantastic location!

Worst customer service ever!!!!!

I booked this hotel on July 11th and got a message hours before checking in that they made a mistake and that they transferred me to an other hotel. A hotel that was situated in the city centre, very noisy and without parking. Traveling from Denmark to the north of Sweden I wanted a nice and quit hotel to have a good nights rest. That didn't work out as planned.
So if you plan to stay at Gronfeltsgarden make sure you have a back up plan or better yet skip it and look for a more reliable place.

Small nice hotel

Older renovated house at Möckelns edge. 8 rooms. We had a double room overlooking the water. Free parking about 50 meters away. In the house next door, Strandgården, there is food and drinks. WiFi worked well. Bathroom with shower that had substantial water pressure and where the water flowed down the floor drain and not onto the floor. Comfortable beds. Nice and quiet. Unfortunately, breakfast was only served until 9am so we on holiday had to get up too early when we had eaten and drunk well at Strandgården the night before. Summer/vacation time should be until 10.00. However, it was good and contained everything you need to cope with another day of vacation or whatever it is called when you go around Sweden as 80 minusare.

Beautiful and in a great location

The visit to this hotel was just great. The location is superb, in a peaceful and beautiful context.
The hotel has an old fashion charm, but the comfort of the modernities. Spacious and with a personal touch in each room.
Even the restaurant was very cosy and with great food and service. The style and the quality matched very much the offering of the hotel.
I really liked this hotel and I hope that there will be another possibility to visit Karlskoga in the future. I will surely try to stay here as it gives a very good taste for what Swedish cosyness can be.

Beautiful location

This is a very charming hotel, located by a lake outside Karlskoga. The buildings are old, but the inside is quite modern and high standard. Great beds! The breakfast is quite ok, and the staff is very smiling and friendly :)
The weather was not super good when i was here, but still i had the chance to walk around a little bit. The location is beautiful.
