Hotel as it should be.

After arrival we contacted the reception and announced the reservation number. Then it became apparent that there was a misunderstanding when booking. A terrace means ground floor with us. Not in Ukraine. Top floor has no balcony, but a terrace. Learned something new again. But the reception was very touchy and did everything to give us a room with balcony. Only downside, the beds are so fantastic and you sleep longer than you want. Also the room service is perfect and the breakfast offers everything you need to start the day. If you need a hotel, it's this one. And we look forward to the next stay.

Reikartz 3 stay

I stayed in Reikartz in August 2021 for my Wedding in Zhytomyr the room was good but the bathroom door had some issues and the quality of the slipper dropped since I last stay in the hotel plus the price has gone up a lot but other then that the hotel is good and very welcoming the staff are friendly and try and talk in English when need to breakfast is good and always warm so overall I would say my stay was good in the hotel.

The best Hotel in Zhytomyr

I have stayed in the Reikartz Hotel in Zhytomyr many times over the past year, whether for quarantine or to just relax, I have never been disappointed. Well furnished, very clean, helpful and friendly staff, excellent restaurant, nice location, I highly recommend that if you visit Zhytomyr that you stay here .

One of the best hotels in Zhytomyr

For sure one of the best hotels in the city of Zhytomyr, very centrally located, but at the same time in a quiet neighborhood, with well-decorated clean rooms, nice service (I haven’t seen recently so kind and always smiling receptionists and waitresses in Ukraine) and good breakfast for average prices. The hotel restaurant is also nice, we had a lunch there and apart from the salad everything was really nice. The hotel offers also numerous parking places next to it for free (there is also a guarded parking) which is also nice taking into account it’s very central location. I had also a nice view from my room window at a nearby church. The only issues I faced there were the not so good noise isolation and the low batteries of the room safe, I will for sure stay again at Reikartz next time when I am in Zhytomyr!

Nice hotel, poor service.

Had a disappointing stay last weekend, June 5,6. The location is very central and it seemed like the best option in Zhytomyr. The hotel is right next to a large park which happens to be a very popular hangout for the local youth. Loud music, screams and laughing continued well into the night, I managed to get to sleep at about 3 AM. Another issue is the hotels policy regarding air conditioning, the hotel has a central system which is not turned on until they experience temperatures over 25 degrees for a certain amount of days. Although the remote in the room works as it should creating a false sense of AC, no conditioned air actually comes out of the vent. I tried opening the balcony door but the noise outside was so loud that it was quickly eliminated as an option. In the morning I spoke to front desk and was notified of the AC policy, they apologized that I happened to be there during the switchover period.
Since this is a pretty large chain I was hoping for some sort of a compensation. After numerous calls I was offered a 15% discount on my next stay. Seems like a joke considering the quality of rest during my stay.
Personally I think I should have been notified during check in that hotel has no AC since it was 26 celsius outside.
I have 4 more weekend stays in Zhytomyr but I will be taking my business elsewhere.
